Is required to perform stream assessments to determine both biological and physical characteristics of streams prior to any stream crossing construction. The information collected at each proposed crossing consists of the following:
- Instream cover
- Canopy cover
- Stream dimensions
- Stream velocity and gradient
- Stream bank stability and composition

Duck Mountain Forest Bird Monitoring Project
The Duck Mountain Bird project is currently underway in the Canadian boreal forest. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between bird presence and the use of specific habitats for breeding. This information will then be used to ensure that LP’s forest management practices do not adversely impact the variety or numbers of birds present within the Duck Mountains. Each year approximately 750 listening stations are established by LP technicians within the Duck Mountain forest. Wildlife Resource Consulting monitors these stations and the data collected are submitted to LP.
